I’ll never forget covering the Iowa caucuses on Drake University’s campus for the Times-Delphic. The most exciting moments came far away from the caucuses themselves and involved frantically driving into downtown Des Moines with our design editor to report on Martin O’Malley’s decision to suspend his campaign.
