One of my favorite stories on which I worked during my time at Drake involved a group of students who walked 34 miles in one day to raise money for charity. I was awake at 5 a.m. as they stepped off from Drake’s campus, and I checked in with them throughout the day as they closed in on their goal. I was pleased with the variety of media I was able to leverage to tell the story, and it eventually became our front page story for the features section of the Times-Delphic’s Relays Edition. Also on this portfolio page is my story on Drake’s first Latina student body president and a piece I wrote earlier in my time at Drake about Des Moines-area comedy clubs.
